Chemical Composition

Cr:27.0; C:5.0;Si:1.0-1.5;Mn:0.8-1.2;B:+;Re:+;Other: ≤2.0

Cr is brittle so it can not be used to be metal material alone. But it will become a construction material

with heat resistance, abrasive resistance and special ability when it compounded with Fe, Ni, Al, Cu, Co, Ti.  

Some of these alloy material are used to produce stainless steel and heat resistance steel which are

widely used in aerospace, nuclear reactor, automobile, shipbuilding, chemical engineering, military 

and so on.

Advantages of wear resistant steel

1) 20- 25 times harder than low carbon steel

2) 5-20 times harder than high manganese steel  

3) 5-10 times harder than tool steel

4) 1.5-2.5 times harder than high-chromium steel
